Medal Of Honor Controversy
Electronic Arts is standing by Medal of Honor developer DICE in its decision to allow players to pay as Taliban members in its upcoming reboot of the Medal of Honor series of first person shooters. Last weekend Britain's Defense secretary Liam Fox called on retailers to ban the game from UK stores after he was "disgusted" and called the game "tasteless". Electronic Arts defended the game, stating that no British troops are featured and that a ratings system exists to determine whether content is suitable. Medal of Honor is rated M for Mature in the US and 18+ in the UK and main land Europe. It's obvious that that Dr. Fox didn't do his due diligence on first person shooters, if he is so offended by this game where were his calls for boycott over Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield 2 and dozens of other games that allow terrorist organizations as playable factions.
Medal of Honor is due out for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 12, 2010.
